“As the American death toll from the novel coronavirus continues to rise, pressure to impose a nationwide stay-at-home order mounts.

President Trump has resisted calls to issue a nationwide stay-at-home directive, despite task force projections that predicted between 100,000 and 240,000 Americans could lose their lives from the coronavirus, even if social distancing measures are strictly followed.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and a member of the Trump administration’s coronavirus task force, told CNN’s Anderson Cooper that the federal government should enact a nationwide stay-at-home order to curtail the spread of the coronavirus in the United States.”

  1. this is such a misleading title lol, wtf. Chris wallace 'GRILLS'? You put an emphasis's on that word as well as make it in big bold letters to make it appear that there was going to being a long drawn out conversation about the poor handling of the situation and crisis in our shitty health care system.

  2. This is how Conservatives work. They worry about the economy during a pandemic instead of thinking of ways to "ride out the storm" and rebuild the economy afterwards. Myopic would be a good description.

  3. Cenk "it's short term greed" to keep all the workers in the warehouse. "If one gets sick, they all get sick"

That's why Amazon is hiring 100,000 new employees.

  4. Wallace is a total left wing liberal political hack. He should be fired from Fox News, which is the most watched news channel on cable. Maybe the fake news outlets with failing ratings like MSNBC and CNN can hired the leftist moron.

  5. Will "Trump" stop being every other word outside of Ana's mouth when he wins re-election? At what point will TYT start obsessing over pushing progressive values and stop obsessing over Trump? 50% of their revenue probably comes from Trump stories. Guess they'd be dead in the water if it were not for Trump/

  6. People choose to use opiods or smoke. People don't get a say in whether they get COVID 19. Our surgeon general is dancing around the question which is unfortunate as this virus can destroy health-care systems.

  7. Big Surprise – Backwards Federal vs. State legislation costing lives. It's easy to see why US has the most cases. How is it that China has three times the population of US and less than quarter of the number of cases. Whatever the US is doing to combat COVID-19 is obviously failing.

  8. I agree with Trump here, provided the numbers are correct showing total deaths for each state. New York with 5500 deaths with over-populated NYC is much more at risk than Utah with 13 deaths. If they are having few deaths, they don't need to be ordered to stay at home. Just keep doing what you're doing for now. It might even be OK to apply the stay at home order to just certain population centers too with just some guidelines like not gathering in groups, social distancing, etc, like they are likely already doing.

  9. I'm in South Carolina, we're under state wide stay at home started at 5:00 today. All restaurants and non essential stores and beaches have been closed for a month, and grocery stores limited to 20 customers at a time. I know SC can be a backwards place sometimes, but the gov has actually taken this pretty seriously, especially considering F/B and tourism is about 30% of this states economy.

  10. It takes a lotta cigarettes to kill a person. Years and years of smoking packs a day. COVID-19 kills the vulnerable within 2 weeks of the first sign of symptoms, and from what I hear from those who have bad symptoms but pull through it, they felt like they were going to die.

  11. A surgeon general that can not tell the difference between addictive drugs and infectious virus? That's what happens when all you want to do is stay in good graces with incompetent/ignorant superiors.
